about

I was 16. I wanted to play Rock N' Roll. How would I do that? By learning the first two Nirvana albums while sick from school for a few days...
That's how.
Like a lot of people, Nirvana was my way "in"
This week, it has been tremendous to look back and think of these early times learning how to play music.
In honor of Nirvana being elected into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame this week....and
In homage to the 20 year mark since Kurt Cobain has passed... I recorded a version of my favorite and literally hidden Nirvana song. What was first known to me as,
"Verse Chorus Verse" and later entitled, "Sappy"
It first appeared out of nowhere on a NO AIDS Alternative compilation as a "hidden" Track...It blew my mind!
I hope I do it justice here.
Enjoy!

lyrics

And if you save yourself
You will make him happy
He'll keep you in a jar
And you'll think you're happy
He'll give you breathing holes
And you'll think you're happy
He'll cover you with grass
And you'll think you're happy now

You're really in a laundry room
You're really in a laundry room
The clue just came to you, oh

And if you kill yourself
You will think you're happy
He'll keep you in a jar
Then you'll make him happy
He'll give you breathing holes
Then you'll think you're happy
He'll cover you with grass
Then you'll think you're happy now

You're really in a laundry room
You're really in a laundry room
The clue that came to you, oh

You're really in a laundry room
You're really in a laundry room
The clue that came to you, oh

And if you fool yourself
You will make him happy
He'll keep you in a jar
Then you'll think you're happy
He'll give you breathing holes
Then you will seem happy
You'll wallow in his shit
Then you'll think you're happy now

You're really in a laundry room
You're really in a laundry room
You're really in a laundry room
The clue that came to you, oh
