about

Whilst in New Zealand, I came across this song in the raddest of ways.
A crew of us headed down to Queenstown for their version of Mardi Gras during WinterFest.
As we wandered the streets that night, we encountered these awesome Irish Lads who were busking on the street.
They absolutely ruled!
They played this song that none of us knew, but somehow got us all to sing along by the end of it.
That was it, it was our new anthem song for the duration of the winter!
I finally figured later that it was actually written by Mumford and Sons.
I figured that I should toast this upcoming St. Patrick's day by releasing my version of this song that was so triumphantly brought to my attention by these wonderful Irish blokes on the streets of Queenstown.
Happy St. Patty's day everyone!!
Hope you enjoy!!

lyrics

Weep for yourself, my man,
You'll never be what is in your heart
Weep Little Lion Man,
You're not as brave as you were at the start
Rate yourself and rake yourself,
Take all the courage you have left
Wasted on fixing all the problems
That you made in your own head

But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I, my dear?
Didn't I, my dear?

Tremble for yourself, my man,
You know that you have seen us all before
Tremble Little Lion Man,
You'll never settle any of your scores
Your grace is wasted in your face,
Your boldness stands alone among the wreck
Now learn from your mother or else spend your days Biting your own neck

But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I, my dear?
Didn't I, my dear?
