about

A full moon greets us once (or sometimes twice) per month. With its full face shining down on us, we experience a heightened energy and intensity. And perhaps...creativity?
Inspired by the magic that manifests during this illuminated energetic state, we're bringing you the first song of our Full Moon Series collaboration.
Once per month, we'll release a song on the full moon. Tonight's full moon is called the "Pink Moon". Not because of it's color, but because of the symbolism of a floral return after the winter's frost.
The earth thaws into buds and blooms. We experience a feeling of newness, of possibility, of joy, of new beginnings. Our hearts expand with the return of more daylight hours, we observe the earth waking up around us, and we feel the pulse of anticipation from daydreaming about how we will fill our summertime.
It's time to open again.

lyrics

Had my brave plots stuck and stung
A string of dried flowers strung
around my thumbs
crumbling in circles

Looking out for a pink moon
To waken all my senses through
She’s telling me
to open again

And my oh my
it’s beauty when wind changes
And my oh my
friends said I would know
when it was time

Dustin’ off my old shoes
they always fit me better
Tradin’ in my worn out worry.

I’ve been listenin’ to the trees who
have waited through the frost.
Holdin’ for some one
to come in singin’

on the breeze of the blossoms
on the breeze of the blossoms

Turning soil, new plots begun
Planting green beneath the sun
Our digging nails
drawing in circles.

Looking towards a pink moon
Fragile and awake anew
Magnolia blooms
open again

And my oh my
There’s beauty in the changes
And my oh my
friends said I would know
when it was time

Dustin’ off my old shoes
they always fit me better
Tradin’ in my worn out worry.

I’ve been listenin’ to the trees who
have waited through the frost.
Holdin’ for some one
to come in singin’

on the breeze of the blossoms
on the breeze of the blossoms
on the breeze of the blossoms
on the breeze of the blossoms
